The Originators Store will host a Cinco De Mayo celebration on Friday, May 1, from 7-10pm. The celebration will include performances by DJ Goldfingers and DJ Don P. The event will be hosted by the legendary Recording Artist 2mex (Visionaries, Look Daggers). Proceeds from sales will benefit Art Share LA. Complimentary margaritas will be served. Several celebrities expected.

The Neo-Sacred Revival

Three short plays examining sex, God and death in Los Angeles, developed in collaboration between Padua Playwrights’ ongoing Play writing Workshop, led by Artistic Director Guy Zimmerman, and Padua Playwrights’ new Actors’ Lab, led by Gill Gayle. There will also be an exhibition of paintings by Matt Aston, inspired by the texts, and photographs of the cast by Rick Mendoza in the adjacent Art Share Gallery.

WALL CREATED BY ART SHARE LA
The new Vista Hermosa Natural Park is now open in Downtown LA. The park provides a mountain watershed experience at the gateway to Downtown Los Angeles. A joint project with the new Edward R. Roybal learning Center, Vista Hermosa Natural Park recreates the natural landscape of the area while providing open space, outdoor environmental education opportunities, a children’s adventure area and a FIFA-regulation soccer field. Art Share LA has contributed an integral part of the new Vista Hermosa Park. The wall designed and created by the Art Share LA teens is just one of the ongoing community projects Art Share LA is involved in to enrich the lives of children through the arts. Brought to Los Angeles byArt Share, The Santa Monica Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority.
