About our Art Galleries
Art Share L.A. is home to two art galleries, the Main Gallery and the Perimeter Gallery. Our galleries are open to emerging local artists of all disciplines as a platform for gaining wider name recognition and selling their work. To make our galleries as accessible as possible for emerging artists, submission and exhibition fees are waived. We gather artists through a semi-annual Open Call for Artists. Annually, we showcase 15 to 25 rotating shows across our Main Gallery and Perimeter Gallery, with each show showcasing eight to 15 artists.
Our Main Gallery hosts curated shows that are continually well received by art buyers and the public alike. Our curatorial team consists of at least five members of the community: an Art Share L.A. Board Member, Art Share L.A. Loft Tenant, an art critic or gallery owner, an Arts District community member, and a local established artist. Many of the curatorial team members are replaced every six months to ensure continued public participation and to bring fresh perspective to the process.
The Perimeter Gallery was established in 2016 when we started receiving a higher volume of artistic submissions that couldn’t fit in our Main Gallery shows. The Perimeter Gallery converts the formerly passive space surrounding the Main Gallery into a vibrant space where emerging artists can be professionally trained in the gallery hanging process and display their work.
Altogether, our galleries welcome more than 5,000 visitors annually. Public hours are
