‘The Place Where Your Started,’ uses cinematic projections to weave elements of present day Los Angeles with Latin American literature and magic realism. The show will run May 17-19 from 7:30-10PM.
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Aamar Blair began writing poetry at the age of 14. Growing up as a introverted soul, Aamar found open mic nights to be the pathway to get over his shyness. And by doing so, Aamar decided to create a platform for other artists to share and expose their talent and ideas.

Joseph Montalvo, commonly known as Nuke, has always had a passion for mural art. His curiosity and for mural art, at the age of five, lead him to the place he is today.
Born and raised in Northern New Jersey, Gubby Beck was always interested in the art world. Beck attended the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and began taking courses in painting, drawing and sculpture, however, immediately fell in love with sculpture. Feeling unsure whether she was able to make a full-time career out of art, Gubby moved to Venice, CA. After living in Venice for 3 years, Beck realized the cost of living prevented her from being creative and decided to move to Joshua tree, where she is now resided working her dream job.
