Tālam

Tālam, named after the rhythmic framework for Hindustani and Carnatic music, is a South Asian concert and cultural showcase. It’ll feature a traditional dance floor highlighting diasporic talent whose music is influenced by South Asian rhythms and melodies, and second an art gallery highlighting a few fine arts students who’s work examines South Asian culture. The event will also feature a free, live henna artist. Together, the event will educate attendees on South Asian culture, expose them to a new style of music, and ultimately create a space for the diaspora to enjoy art and culture!
