Adinkra Album Release

Adinkra is an 8 piece fusion band lead by Nani Agbeli, a Ghanaian-born dancer/musician/performer. The group will be hosting a night of music to celebrate the release of their debut EP “Sefofo”. The evening will feature world percussion from a variety of LA based artists as well as a performance by Adinkra. Nationally recognized percussionist, Colby Beers will be performing a traditional Hindustani Classical Tabla piece performed in the Lucknow tradition followed by a performance from BèLóKè, a percussion trio who perform explorations and conglomerations of African and Indian concepts, including both improvisations and fixed compositions. The evening will conclude will a live performance of “Sefofo” by Adinkra.
