Ensemble Vòmma with Hex presents “Dreams of Dawn”

This concert will feature a set of chamber music by members of Ensemble Vomma and the new music vocal sextet HEX.

Sara Cubarsi will introduce the concert with a performance of Double, for Violin and Piano by Michel Van Der Aaa.

HEX will then perform a short set of pieces including

Hymn, by Toby Twining
Abzu, by Austin Wintory
The Vast Sea, by Fahad Siadat

The final portion of the program will feature two world premieres for HEX and Ensemble Vomma together.

Passacagalia, by Kris Rahamad, is a setting of the Lorca poem The Dawn from his New York collection of poetry.

A Name He Cannot Recall, by Fahad Siadat, sets fragments of dreams of Freud’s patients as he chronicled them in his seminal book The Interpretation of Dreams.
