“‘(Rhy)pistemologies’: Thinking Through Rhythm” brings together
May 8 @ 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
About
“(Rhy)pistemologies”: Thinking Through Rhythm, which will take place on May 8-9 at Art Share L.A., is a very special event that brings together scholars and practitioners of theory, music, and dance in order to think together about how concepts are formed in, through, or from rhythm, dance, and music (rather than, say, theory that takes music as its object). Invited guests include Alex E. Chávez, Michael J. Love, Maya Kronfeld, Fumi Okiji, and Michael E. Sawyer. Both creative and conceptual, their interventions will break down the divide between “theory” and “practice.”
Open to the public and free of charge.
