About
TRIBE Project presents Through My Eyes Film Festival. A festival of short films created by Indigenous filmmakers from all over the world. We aim to redefine the word ‘indigenous,’ originally meaning “of the land,” to embrace the artistic contributions Indigenous filmmakers, our “Indie-Geniuses”, and provide a space to celebrate their films! The films tell stories from tribal lands of the United States, Tunisia, Kenya, and many more. The films range in content from narrative triumphs to poignant documentaries to vivacious animations. Collectively, these are all stories of resistance, courage, and hope.
The festival will consist of three days of Native power! Friday night, we will celebrate our opening with a red carpet event! We will have an open bar Cocktail Hour, live performances and short films from North America, Canada, and Alaska. Saturday is a day full of shorts from every inhabited continent in the world. We wrap up the festival on Sunday with a panel series featuring industry professionals discussing topics concerning Indigenous representation and expression in the film industry.
