About
We are thrilled to bring this exciting, fresh version of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth to Art Share LA August 15- September 7th.
Set in the beautiful but dangerous landscape of the desert in a future reality, this production of Macbeth offers an alternate perspective of ambition, specifically through the lens of youth. When promised the deepest desire of his soul, Macbeth is faced with the choice to become the man he has dreamed he could be. Influenced and supported by the powerful love of his “dearest partner of greatness”, he goes against his nature to seize his destiny, ultimately bringing on the destruction of his sanity and the future he sought to create. It is a cautionary coming of age story about the decisions we face in pursuit of our goals and the futileness of satisfaction.
The team of Macbeth LA consists of a variety of backgrounds, each bringing something unique to the project. They have their own vision of the American southwest and how Shakespeare can inhabit it. Come see a rendition of Macbeth that you haven’t seen yet!
Actors Tristan Waldron and Megan Ruble are both LA-based actors who not only act, but also produce projects they are passionate about.
Director Alyssa Escalante has long been involved in theater as a stage manager across Southern California, ultimately building a deep understanding of and experience in LA’s theatre community.
