This is how Art Share gives…
I’ve been presenting at Art Share L.A. since last September of 2017. It was my first and only choice for a venue to present Women Only Mic Night. When I first moved to LA in July of 2016, I looked up “Art in Downtown LA” and Art Share popped right up. After I saw all the different art that Art Share presented, it was enough for me to get involved. Between the lofts upstairs, gallery work, amazing space… it was a dream come true that I didn’t have to dream.
I feel really privileged to be able to host Women Only Mic Night at Art Share. I’ve seen great success in the program and working with Art Share has helped me ground myself in the LA arts scene. @WomenOnlyMicNight

Art Share L.A. is my creative outlet whenever I need it. I love volunteering here–It’s the highlight of every week. I think my favorite experience at Art Share was the first piece I ever sold, during June’s ‘Summer Salon.’ I was so excited because it was the first time I’ve ever been paid for my artwork. It was a proud and humbling experience for me that someone fell in love with my piece so much that they wanted to display it in their home. I can’t believe how lucky I am to be a part of Art Share! @littlelambcake

I started out with Art Share L.A. when I was looking through the website. I wanted to find a place to submit my art, and when I moved back to LA, the first place I submitted was to Art Share’s artist opportunities. I’m so grateful to Art Share because it introduced me to the world of public art murals, which has been booming in Los Angeles. It was through Art Share and Cheyanne, their Executive Director, that I learned the process of creating a public mural, through the 4th Street Bridge Project. Now I’m able to take the skills I learned during that process and get new commissions, which has helped me gain recognition throughout the city and jumpstart my civic art career.
The 4th Street Bridge Project was my first experience with large scale art installations and it wouldn’t have happened without the help and guidance that I received from Art Share. Thank you Art Share! @johncuevasstudio
