We are excited to announce that Michelle Espinosa Coulter was appointed our new Board President! She comes to us from Meta Housing Corporation as a Senior Project Manager. At that role, she is instrumental in creating 21 affordable housing projects in Los Angeles. During her time at Art Share L.A. she hopes to increase and improve housing opportunities for artists and support our capital campaign.
Also joining our executive team will be Dave Hunt, president and founder of DG Hunt & Associates, an art consulting and project management firm, will stay on as Vice President, Pamela Ashlund, Director of Finance at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles as Treasurer, and Eric Needleman, principal at The Spirited Group as Secretary.

Bringing our board count to 11, our newest Board Members bring to us expertise in the gallery world and in our marketing efforts.
DJ Sandler leads marketing operations for CBRE for Southern California, including Greater Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and Hawaii. His knowledge of the strategically positioning Art Share to gain the most exposure will prove invaluable as we grow our operation.
Mike Kelley, Designer/Art Director with 20 years experience working on campaigns for numerous fortune 500 companies – by day, but for years he ran, curated and owned Junc Gallery. This combined knowledge will support the beginnings of a Professional Development program.
All 11 of Art Share L.A.’s Board of Directors are ready for the exciting year to come – Fiscal Year 2019 kicked off with a new Gallery Program and we plan to announce two exciting new projects in the coming months. Stay tuned and connected!
“Hidden Rooms” was the first in the ART AT THE RENDON series, an on-going multi-disciplinary program bringing art, musical performances, lectures, artist residencies and film screenings to the local community at the former Rendon Hotel.
Almost five years have passed since Art Share L.A. first opened Calls for Submissions, and now, we are evolving once again! In addition to a new Gallery Committee, we are changing our submission process, ensuring more representation and diversity for future shows.
On Tuesday, June 5th, over 200 artists lined up outside of Art Share's loading dock to drop off their artworks, making it one of the most successful open call events Art Share has witnessed. The drop-off was a 'first come, first serve' basis which offered artists of all levels an opportunity to showcase their work(s).
