Headlining three big bands in one night, Big Band Nights features LA’s current creative composers and their original big band music—yep, you heard that right; three big bands performing back-to-back. Experience the creative energy + supportive vibes of LA’s buzzing big band community—there’s truly nothing like it in LA.

This 8th show of the series is taking place at Art Share L.A. on Friday, March 22nd. Music starts at 7pm with Lauren Elizabeth Baba’s theBABAorchestra, at 8pm John Daversa’s Frost Jazz Orchestra hits the stage, and at 9pm Genevieve Artadi’s Big Band wraps up the evening. theBABAorchestra is a Los Angeles based 17-piece experimental big band performing original new instrumental works by composer, conductor, and bandleader Lauren Elizabeth Baba. Her music is described as “ambitious and wildly imaginative new music for large jazz ensembles…a statement of marvelous depth and cinematic expanse.”
