Paid Marketing Intern for LA County College Students

Join a small and exciting nonprofit venue located in the heart of the Arts District. Our 30,000 sq. ft building is a platform for artists to share their work from visual art exhibitions to showcasing performances, we are here to help an artist’s voice be heard.

This position will work approximately 15 hours each week from June 2022 through December 2022 and support the marketing efforts of a small nonprofit. Organize social media posts and newsletters and be able to communicate with 30,000 people.Candidates should be prepared to work three days per week, including availability on weekends and the occasional late night.

2022 Arts Internship positions will be open to currently enrolled undergraduate (2 or 4-year) and community college students who reside or attend college in Los Angeles County. Recent graduates may apply as long as they have completed their degree between May 1 – December 1, 2022. The Department of Arts and Culture encourages eligible students from all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as disabled students, to apply.

Executive Director

The Executive Director is responsible for managing and skillfully executing the strategies and vision of Art Share Los Angeles as outlined in its Constitution, Bylaws, resolutions and plans as directed by the President and the Executive Board. The Executive Director reports directly to the Board President and is the day-to-day manager of Art Share LA. This role is responsible for overseeing office and programming staff to ensure all facets of the organization are being managed while working as a key advisor to the Officers and Executive Board members. This role has 4-6 staff reporting to them and determines that staff make-up, job descriptions, and size of staff depending on organizational need and financial capacity. The Director must lead with confidence and passion for the arts while ensuring staff have resources they need to execute their roles.

Volunteer Opportunities

Become an essential part of Art Share LA.

Event Support (On-call)

Provide logistical onsite event support including load-in, installation, and load-out.  Maintaining the safety of guests, facilitating check-in of guests, vendors, and artists, and upholding Art Share visitor policies. Responsibilities may also include basic maintenance of space, bar support, and merchandise sales.

Gallery Assistant (Weekly/Bi-weekly shifts)

Gallery assistants are the face of Art Share welcoming visitors to our space during public hours.  This includes providing information about all aspects of Art Share and its programs including exhibitions on view, upcoming events, membership benefits, and our organization’s history and mission.

Other duties include capturing attendance data, merchandise sales, and ensuring public spaces are clean and tidy.
