Do you love musical theater? Want to experience it in a new way? Imaginary Theatricals’ Play Date is your playground.
Imaginary Theatricals’ mission is about open casting and allowing everyone the opportunity to experience and find representation in theater. Our Play Dates are a unique opportunity to read through and experience well known, beloved musicals in a completely new way. We provide scripts. You provide the rest. At the start of the night, we put character names in a hat. Whatever character you draw: you get to play. We repeat the process at intermission. Don’t know the song? No big deal! Everyone will sing along with you. Want to really take the floor and do your stuff? Great! We’ll applaud you when you are finished. Low stakes, High fun!
