The Traveling Temple of Modern Times

The Traveling Temple (and Other Works) is a show dealing with spirituality, identity, and culture. Surprising, inclusive, and meaningful. These are three words to describe The Traveling Temple (and Other Works). With the interactive 5′ temple as a focal point, guests are invited to come as they are and meditate, pray, or simply observe art. A blackboard interior enables guests to write their wishes inside the temple, ultimately creating their own healing through art. Accompanying works include paintings which detail Cheryl Chan’s experience as an Asian-American immigrant. With its sensitivity and cultural nuance, this is a show not to be missed.
